Yogyakarta, September 9, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business (FEBI) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta hosted an exclusive Public Lecture & Practicum Socialization Webinar under the striking theme “Digital Trends and AI: Opportunity or Challenge for Gen Z?”. Staged in a hybrid format at FEBI’s Theatrical Hall and streamed via Zoom, the event drew hundreds of spirited students eager to decode the future.
A Keynote That Resonated with Purpose
Opening the session with grace and conviction, Dr. Sunaryati, SE., M.Si., Vice Dean of FEBI, delivered the keynote address. With eloquence, she emphasized that Gen Z must not remain mere consumers of technology but evolve into trailblazers shaping innovation.
“Digital transformation is not something to be feared,” she reminded the audience. “It is a call to act, to create, and to lead.”
Her words were more than encouragement; they were a manifesto for a generation poised to navigate the ever-changing dance of technology and humanity.
The Minds Behind the Insights
Two distinguished speakers brought the conversation to life with both wisdom and wit:
Dian Mitra Widiansah, S.Kom., MBA., Founder of Inolabs Indonesia, mapped out how digital acceleration reshapes industries while unlocking new career paths. His narrative was not just about business—it was about reimagining possibilities.
Ardhi Widjaya, Communication & Business Consultant, elevated the discussion with a lens on strategic communication in the AI era. He urged students to embrace adaptability, creativity, and personal branding as their power tools in thriving within this bold new landscape.
Their perspectives painted a vivid tableau of how innovation intertwines with human potential, leaving the audience both enlightened and inspired.
Dialogue that Dared to Ask More
Guided with charm by Alex Fahrur Riza, SE., M.Sc., CMA., Head of FEBI’s Laboratory, the discussion turned into a lively exchange. Questions on AI ethics, digital security, and the shifting contours of the job market sparked an atmosphere of curiosity and critical thinking.
Beyond an Academic Gathering
This was more than a practicum orientation. It was a runway moment—where academia met the pulse of the future. FEBI’s commitment to bridging theory with real-world relevance shone through, ensuring its students are not just prepared for the industry, but primed to shape it.
As the screens dimmed and conversations lingered, one truth remained: Gen Z at FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga is not waiting for the future to arrive. They are ready to own it.
